Could you offer Nana her forever home?
Nana is a three-year-old, medium mixed breed with long hair, currently in foster care in Brighton, UK.
We rescued Nana and her four siblings from the side of a busy road. It became apparent that they all had Parvovirus and despite our best efforts, four of the pups passed away.
Her foster family have said this about Nana: “Nana is such a beautiful girl and has a wonderful nature. She loves cuddles on the sofa and gets on well with our dog. She likes quiet walks away from traffic noise and enjoys using her nose to follow scents. She’s not the bravest of pups, but with a bit of reassurance and boiled chicken she’ll be your best friend for life.”
Nana is looking for a quiet home where she has access to a garden. She would be happy to share a home with a calm, settled dog or be the only dog. She does share her foster home with a couple of cats, but they do worry her so we feel a cat-free home would be best for her. Nana really is the sweetest girl and we would love her to find patient and kind owners who can offer her a loving home. She has been neutered, microchipped and is up-to-date with her vaccines and flea and worm treatments.
If you would like to offer Nana a forever home, please complete an adoption questionnaire at https://www.streetdogrescue.com/nana or email rsdrukadopt@gmail.com if you have any questions. A phone interview, home check & adoption fee will apply.

Diane’s new friend
Diane with her new friend Kiera. Diane named her and they have become very close. Diane started bringing her in the garden because people are scared of her and throw stones at her. Kiera hasn’t done anything to deserve that. Kiera had 4 puppies when she first turned up, but over time we didnt see them. Kiera started to follow Diane everywhere even in the forest.
Some street dogs are happy to stay street dogs like Mama Dog, but Kiera decided she wanted more, and every morning she was at the gate waiting to come in for breakfast.

Thank you!
Thank you so much to Lynda Barnes for all the wonderful gifts.

Thank you so much to Monika and Paul for all the wonderful gifts.

Happy Endings

We love a happy ending amid all the doom and gloom. This is Suzibear who was adopted in the UK in 2014. Her owner has just sent us this pic and we’re so happy to see what a wonderful life she has.
On 4 May 2014, the boys arrived for work at the Shelter and found Suzi at the gates. She was soaking wet and shivering. They immediately took her inside and fed her and made a fuss of her. Look what a majestic lady she is now!

Maja was struggling, trying to keep her puppies safe when they were rescued. Now she is living such a happy life in the UK. Her puppies also found loving, forever homes.
If you can help us help Maja’s friends still here at the shelter, no amount is too small, we are so grateful for any support. Our feeding costs are so high and we really need your help https://www.streetdogrescue.com/donatehelp.htm
Evita is in foster in Herefordshire, and looking for her forever home

We rescued Evita and her three siblings after they were spotted under an empty building next to the busy main road, so we brought them back to the safety of the shelter.
Evita is a sweet and affectionate girl. Her foster carer says, Evita is such a sweetheart. She can be timid and nervous but is doing so well. She has been wonderful with the foster carer’s cats, no interest in chasing. She also gets on very well with the foster carer’s dog, and will take guidance from him, so ideally we would like Evita to go to a home who already have a calm and friendly dog. She loves coming up for a fuss and is very loving. She likes to be a lap dog so will need a family who don’t mind their dogs being on the sofa!
Evita is fine to be left for a few hours each day and is friendly towards strangers. With lots of time, love and understanding she would make any family a loving pet. Evita has been neutered, microchipped and is up-to-date with her vaccines and flea & worm treatments.
If you are interested in offering Evita a forever home, please visit our website and complete an adoption questionnaire https://www.streetdogrescue.com/evita1377
An adoption fee, phone interview and home check will apply
